Scout Troop 52 in Chevy Chase, Maryland, was chartered in 1913. It is one of the oldest continuously-running troops in America. Since its founding, Troop 52 has provided young men and women opportunities for service, independence, ethical learning, and leadership through its active, youth-led outdoor program.
Troop 52 has had girls in its ranks for more than 20 years, originally as part of its Venturing program. Now, in keeping with changes to the Scouts BSA program, Troop 52 continues to welcome boys and girls, ages 11-18. Young women now join the young men of the troop in earning Scouting's highest rank: Eagle Scout. (For more about the Scouts BSA program, click here.)
In addition, Troop 52 maintains a Venturer Crew that is open to young men and women aged 14-21. (For more about the BSA Venturing program, click here.)
Troop 52 typically meets on Monday nights throughout the school year at All Saints Church (3 Chevy Chase Circle). We camp monthly all year and participate in High Adventure programs in the summer. Visit us and learn more about our program!
